MEET THE ARTIST: SANTA MORENO
Born in Mexico, Santa Moreno is a self-taught Watercolor Artist who has been living in Hawaii for the past 19 years. With a background in Fashion and Graphic Design, Santa has always been drawn to the creative field.
Although she enjoys her career greatly, Santa discovered her real passion when she came across the work of watercolor artists like Viktoria Prischedko, Alvaro Castagnet, and other renowned artists.
Santa’s latest work focuses on semi-abstract portrait/florals with a touch of realism. She enjoys painting portraits, figurative, and a variety of scenery capturing moments rather than places. The use of contrast between light and dark, muted tones, quick intuitive strokes, and generous amounts of water and paint, have been the key for her latest area of exploration.
Join us for Santa’s opening reception of her show titled, “Struggle & Perseverance” On March 9th, 11am-1pm. Light refreshments will be served.
