These picnic plates are super special. Each one is uniquely made using the “slip-transfer” method (also called “mono-printing”). Each design is hand-drawn, then painted on newsprint (backwards! with the forefront color last), then transferred (much like a temporary tattoo) to the slab-built plate while it’s still fairly wet. When the design is peeled away, what is left is an image that is distressed and full of textural elements. Each plate measures 7 1/2 inches wide. They are dishwasher safe, microwave safe, and food safe.
