2:30pm-5pm
Instructor: Kalei Raher
In this class, we'll be exploring who we are as a creative thinker. Prepare to go on a journey into your mind while connecting the dots of your inner child to the present you. Find out who you want to become in the nostalgic magazines, photos, and memorabilia you explore in this class. I encourage you to bring your own items that have sentiment you can incorporate in your personal collage.
Imagine a word, a moment, a memory rooted so deep in your heart, you feel safe there. Don’t think, just create. Part of your old self still lives on in who you are now, just like the pictures and words you’ll be picking out of these magazines. Remember you create your reality. Release any judgment and pave your own way forward.
Feel free to share, or keep to yourself; just know you’re safe here. This is your time to shine.
What you’ll need:

• set an intention: whether that be a goal in the future like graduating college or traveling to a new country; or healing, love, understanding
• Modge Podge

• Brushes
• Vintage magazines, books, photos
ALL MATERIALS WILL BE PROVIDED

Her raw expression plays with the heartstrings, a tune only nostalgia can remember. Focusing on surrealism, she blends contrasting digital and analogue collages made of imagery old and new.
