Looking to spice up your date night with something unique? Join us for an evening of creativity as you & your partner/friend/loved one, make a stained glass project together to take home! In this class stained glass artists Scarlett Shankles will guide you through creating a beautiful piece. There will be a select number of designs available, each station will choose either one larger piece to work on together (~6”) or each work solo on a piece (~3”) (see options in photo).
The glass pieces have been pre-cut, so you’ll focus on two key steps of the stained glass process: foiling & soldering, also the cleaning, waxing and polishing to make that bebe sparkle! By the end of the class, you’ll have a fully finished, window-ready piece.
This class is a great way to shake up your typical night out & walk away with more than a memory. It is a fun way to try making stained glass without jumping in to the financial commitment of a full class or purchasing a beginner set up.
What to expect:
You and your ‘date’ will share a station & work together on your project(s).
You can choose between 4 designs for your sun-catcher. The Sunflower and Monstera design are shared projects that yield a larger piece (6”-7”), OR you can choose from the smaller pieces, Kamehameha Pulelehua wing or the Papaya (3”-4”) to make individually. Make you selections during checkout.
The glass pieces will be pre-cut, so you’ll focus on all the steps post-grinding.
What you’ll be doing:
selecting the pieces
foiling
soldering
cleaning
waxing, & polishing
By the end of the class, you’ll have a fully finished, window-ready piece!
